The owners were very specific with their brief, in that they wanted a Shaker kitchen with Carrera marble worktops and modern, built-in appliances. The family also requested a large island with breakfast bar, along with a spacious pantry cupboard.
After ticking these points off the wish list, we focused on making a real feature of the hob by situating it over wide drawers, then framing the area with a beautiful feature canopy above.
The architect’s plans to create a kitchen and living area within a new extension space was something this couple loved from the get-go.
Once the building project was complete, our challenge was to provide a design solution which bridged the gap between classic and contemporary, to complete the original feel of this Edwardian era home.
